Painter and illustrator, for years associated with the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk. He finished his artistic studies with a diploma in 1952 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk in the studio of Prof. A. Nacht-Samborski. Since 1951 he taught painting at the Academy of Fine Arts, from 1965 to 1969 he was dean of the Faculty of Painting, and from 1969 to 1981 he served as rector. One of the founders of the Gdansk Group. He exhibited at more than 40 solo and group exhibitions. Winner of the Kazimierz Ostrowski Award (2007). In Jackiewicz's paintings - compositions and nudes - the female body is reduced to geometric, abstract figures.
